My goal with this project was to represent the idea of scale and the truly epic nature that is space exploration. I’ve always found mankind’s confidence in its ability to take on this truly mammoth task both commendable and naive. We are intellectually impressive as a species but truly tiny in the grand scheme of things and although we have made great strides in our understanding of space we are still under prepared for the exploration of space. This piece is my surreal interpretation of our place within this colossal scale.
